  • “Demolition Tuesdays”

    When the Earth
    Was Conceived
    From the Rainbow threads
    Of the Webbed Universe,
    The fly had granted the
    Spider and said:
“Spare Me, for I am not worthy of your Feast,”
Under the flattery was a coward,
    And under the Red Hourglass
    Was Vanity –
    So they decided upon Compromise
    And made Love.
    The Web trembled,
Releasing from its hands a dew drop –
    Sparkling into the Unknown.
    It lay dormant,
But over the course of Infinite Events,
    The Water-matter evaporated,
    Leaving behind Chromatic StarDust.
This Magic, after sewn together by Chemists,
Became the Home of our Souls –
But within this Home dwells an
    Entity;
    A LifeForce
    That controls all Heartbeats –
That whispers to the Drummer when to stop chanting,
And sings for the Deaf to Hear.
And when this Authority is crossed,
The Stag will shake its many antlers,
    And call for Wrath –
    And the Everlasting
    Voice will sing its
    Song to the Flower,
And whisper for Humanity to stop

Drumming.

  • “Jude”

    I twiddle with
    My little wooden
    Spoon,
    Playing:
    “Not Hungry,”
    As I solemnly
    Observed the stars,
    Questioning how
    One could have more than
    Five
    Points.
    Was I really of this

Ancient Following?

  • “The Affair”

    A dog
    I saw it today
    It walked –
    Lipstick out,
    And humped my neighbor’s leg:
    “With love to you,”
    The beast’s tongue flapped
    Out
    As he slobbered on Her
    Pinky toe,

Haloed by a wedding ring.

  • “The Blind Prophet”

    Behind treed walls
    I sat –
    Purified by
    His presence.
    Seashells adorned His ears
    And warm,
    Fatherly neck with pride.
    His midnight skin
    Moonglowed blue shades,
    As I noticed
    His Eyes -
    They were dead –
    And when I expressed “pity”,
    He lashed out:
    “Child, spoiled
    with the physical perception;
    therefore blinded by it –
seek no sight but that which lives in your
    Spirit,”
    He thumbed his ancient
    Staff Of No Time
    And
    Nodded –
For me to be on my

Way
To See.

  • “Juxtaposition”

    Come forth, thy Friend,
    And let my Sanctuaries
    Disrobe your Pride
    And Bewilder You –
    This Place –
    Here,
    Where you are now planted
    In Reality,
    Is very selective,
    So feel Gleeful
    In this Presence –
    Seat yourself
    With Me, and let Us
    Watch the
    Moon and Sun
    Take hands
    And spin around
Our Heads in hallowed laughters –
    Let Us evaporate
    With the dewdrops,
    Slithering down Nature’s Brow
    Like little snails,
    And let Us
    Plant each-other in a
    Cedar-smelling soil,
    Next to one-another,
    And watch
    Ourselves grow and blossom
    Under the webbed
    Lattice
    Crying dewdrops
    Bellow the
    Sun and Moon,
    Taking hands
    And watching
    The little snails
    Rain down,
    Unto another’s

Brow.

  • “Moonglow Mother”

    In chant of the crickets,
    Old Gorilla Mama
    Gently turned in her sleep,
    Under the covers of a
    Million-mile canopy -
    She wakes in the
    Indigo Night
Of flying fires and star twinkles
To look Noble upon her Cradle.
    Under her strong chromatic wing,
    A child makes a color
    Of its Own.
She stroked the little crescent forehead,
    And just then,
    As the cricket’s instruments
    Gave way to the moment,
    An infant hand reached up
    And grabbed her

Finger.
