A week ago, I had the privilege to be able to tour the artwork of Alex Rubio and Vincent Valdez at the Museo Alameda in San Antonio, Texas. Their work, which I would consider to some of the finest visionary Chicano art I've ever seen, chronicles the relationship between the pair's lives growing up in the south side of San Antonio. This exhibition truly represents the collective understanding of life in many shoes. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in going to the show check out this link:

Hey everyone, I just finished another hefty pen study. This one was inspired by Radiohead's new album, In Rainbows. In particular, the song "Weird Fishes" swam its way into my artistic eye - so I drew it! I added the final touches of color with watercolor. And yes, it was incredibly fun abstracting Thom Yorke - haha! But in the end, it can be whatever you want it to be. Enjoy - and while you're at it, go download that new Radiohead album - it's beautifully brilliant!

So, for a few days, I've taken a break from my serious work and have finally gotten to do something fun. And, the result is this! Yes, they love you too - haha! I call them the Squid Creatures ... on the left is Mr. Dote, and on the right is Mr. Squid ... Enjoy!
